scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='The Nature of Learning'/>
Playing :)

the last day of berea buddies we all were playing a cool game. the game's purpose was to destroy the other teams toilet paper castle, and for this we had to hit the other team members with balls. if a person got hit once that person fall in its knees, if it got hit again the person had to go into its stomach and if it got hit again, the person had to go to the other team. in the first round it was little buddies and big buddies against little buddies and big buddies. in the second round, it was little buddies against big buddies.

in this game i saw that there were some little buddies that did not wanted to hit the big buddies because they thought that the big buddie might got mad, or because they did not trust them. also i saw that there was a little gap of trust between little and big buddies.

as i was watching this it came to me that as a future teacher, i want my students to trust me and be able to ask me questions like if i was just another student there. i think that i will make games and i will participate in them, not telling them the rules and watching them, but interacting with them, i want them to see me as another friend and not the teacher. well even though i also will have some limits, but the thing is that i want them to see me as another human and not a perfect person that never makes mistakes, because as humans, no matter what our job is, we all make mistakes.
I put this under the nature of learning because i think that in order to make my students trust me is going to take a while, also because i will see how the games that i play with them will work with the students, so that i can correct myself, last but not least, because also i want them to tell me what works for them so that i can help them.
<img i want to be more fit and not get tired so easily. my mom always told me that the morning exercise is the best one, so i went every day in the morning to do exercise, i found out that not only it helps me to be fit, but also i was more focused on classes and i participated more because i felt like my brain was more awake.

i decided to put this under personal development instead of personal goals, because even though it was a goal for me to accomplish, for me it was more like having the responsibility to take care of my own development and be able to do it. <br power to choose what is it that you want things to be done. i found this when i was making cooling rackets and i was able to make them the way that i wanted, well with some specifications that were given to me, but i was able to choose if i wanted them to be all with clear wood or darker one, also there were ones with patters, some were somewhat stripped. but most of the time i tried to match two so that the cooling racket will look good.

as a future teacher i will be able to let my students choose how they want to make their projects and assignments, but also there will be some specifications. also i know the importance of saying i did it, i want my students to be able to say i did this work, this is mine, whenever their work is display for the others to see. i put this under diversity because not all of us have the same ideas when we are put up with an assignment, all of us want to do it different or have different approaches as to how to make it.<div i was thinking about how to relate what we were doing with our learning. i was thinking that from that i could teach many things, for example chemical reactions of the food and also about nutrition and math.also i was thinking that even us took something from that experience, for example me, even though i do not like peanut butter i still helped my classmates with the preparation of the food. we also learned how to make stuff out of the pumping that we had. if we were just told how to make them we would not have been able to learn about it and also if we only had had the opportunity of tasting it we would not know what did the food had in it.

as a teacher this impacts me because i need to be able to teach my students many different things from one experience, for example the one we had with the pumping, also to let them experience what can happen with the things that we are doing and what will it happen if they are more or less so that they can have their own conclusions about the experiments that we will be doing. i put this under inquiry because i think that in order for students to learn, they need to be able to have hands on on the scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Diversity'/>
religion

in mu sociology class, one day we were talking about religion and how does it impact our daily lives. we were saying that religion can be functional in the way that we have a religion because it brings us closer to people that have about our same interests, also because it helps be more calm when we have problems in our life. but also we were talking that religion can cause conflict because of what people belief might not be what other people belief. also because it causes oppression within the own person because people with strong religion ties might not be able to do what they really want because they might think they are doing a sin.

from this i learned that not all of us have the same interest in religion or do not believe in the same stuff and the limits that we all might have in religion.

as a future teacher, this impacts me and shows me that sometimes there might not be a certain way to teach to my students. for example how to explain them about evolution because of how some religions like catholic say that God made us. it will be hard to explain, specially if they have grown believing in something else. also because there is also a lot of diversity around this world and not all of us believe in the same thing. my students might have difficulties with relation each other if they are not able to understand that not all of us have the same religion. as a teacher i have to know about the different religions too in order to understand my students and the behavior that they have in their everyday life because of the religion that they have.
<img width='1' that we could take it back with us. we all went and started to look for one, or at least see the ones that where in the field. for me it was a difficult task because i wanted one that was different from the others and that i could say this is mine because it reflects who i am. also i wanted one that i really liked and not change it to another. finally i found it, mine was a white pumping and if i am correct, mine is was the only one that was white.

as a teacher, this observation that i had impacts me because just as i was trying to find the right pumping for me, my students will also be making their work so that it will reflect who they really are. also not every one will make his or hers the same way that the other students will. diversity will play a big role here because even thought they might have a lot of similarities, for example about the same age, not all of them will have the same thoughts. if i am very observant and see how my students work, i spending time with a kid, you spend about 2 hours with your buddie doing things like playing or swimming. on Halloween well on the week of Halloween there was a party where the kids had a chance to dress up (some of you might have seen them walking around with their customs)and to make cookies and color sheets about Halloween. there was also a contests about wrapping one of us in toilet paper, my buddie and i decided that she was going to be the one that was going to be wrapped. so i stared wrapping her and since it was a contest about who finished first, i went as fast as i could, but then i found out that the toilet paper ripped apart because i was putting too much force. so i decided to go slower and the toilet paper did not ripped anymore.

Trial and error was one of the first things that i learned here because even though i tried a lot of times the paper ripped apart, after watching how others were doing theirs, i saw that they were going slow. i decided to also try to go slow ans it worked because my paper did not ripped anymore.

as a future teacher this relates to me because in order to make a my students know each other a scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='The Nature of Teaching'/>
emotional intelligence

as i was reading an article about emotional intelligence. i relate it to education because it talks about how a manager needs to control its emotions while at work, it also talked about how a manager needs to be able to know what its employees feel and be able to organize them. skills needed from emotional intelligence are

1) self-awareness, which is being able to know one's self moods and emotions
2)self-regulation, ability to think before you act
3)motivation, being able to work hard with persistence
4)empathy, ability to understand the emotions of others
5)social skills, ability to establish a relationship with others

in my opinion not only this works well for managers but i think that it will also work good for teachers in general. as a future teacher this impacts me because in order to understand my students i need to first understand me and know my values and my emotions. also i know that not everything is perfect, so maybe things will go out of control once in a while, so i need to be able to think before i act if not things might get even worse. all teachers need motivation for themselves and for its students. empathy is also very important because in order to have a good group, a teacher needs to understand students as individuals. last but not least i do not know how a teacher will be able to teach with out having any type of relationship with its students.
<img width='1' height='1' food a little better.
cooking is something that we all can learn. it will take time and the desire of learning how to cook, but i think that cooking cannot be done by sitting and watching how to cook. in my opinion, if some one is watching someone how to cook that person will learn very little, as cooking learners, i think that we have to do hands-on and a lot of trial and we call technology. but technology for us began since the humans began to put things together for their daily use. technology has impacted every single one of us in the world, but sometimes it has bad outcomes as for example the pollution and global warming.
as my development of becoming a teacher, technology also impacts me in the way that i have to know how to use computers and cases we do and to evaluate how many companies have succeed and what are the doing for a better future for their companies. also i am learning on how to treat people (human resource management) and what employees want from companies and how should we as managers can cover their needs fairly to everyone so that we do not have any problems with what they want.
i am learning a lot of how to treat people and how even thought with all this technology in today's society, people is one of the most important assets for the success of a company. we have a chapter that is just for the management of people, and how they work work with the attention needed and with all the facilities for them to do a good job.
a see a relation with this and what is my development as a not have enough for everyone. i see the classroom as a factory and i will be the manager. i have to know what is it that my "workers" will want in order to make our "factory" successful and have every one happy with what they want.

Comparition of me and a party popper

As a teacher, I am like a party popper because just as party poppers are full of confetti, I am full of ideas. As most of us know what party poppers have inside it still surprise us when we see it, just the same way my ideas will surprise my students when they see the results or see how we are going to learn new things. My ideas might be known, but the results might surprise people. Also party poppers have different colors of confetti, I will also not have the same ideas every time, as a teacher, I will try to have different ideas to not bore my students. Party poppers are hard from the outside, but are fun from the inside, I might seem hard from the outside, but I am a fun teacher from the inside. Students just have to know me better and they will see how I am just as the party popper is, you know that when you pull the string confetti will come out, and students have to know when to “pull the string” to be able to have fun. Party poppers make people happy in many different occasions, like birthdays, or weddings. As a teacher I make students happy in different ways too, like when I tell them funny stories to make them forget their stressed day, or just to make them laugh a little. I not only will tell them stories, and I will not always make them happy but I will be there to help them be happy just as party poppers are there to help people be happy, not to make them happy if they do not want to be happy. Party poppers surprise people and as a teacher I surprise my students and make them want to come to my class every day and make them wonder what we would do at class for that day. Also party poppers entertain people when they are popped; I entertain my student s in class, so that they can pay attention to class and remember what I taught them, also I do not want my students to get bored in class.
As a teacher I am also like a party popper because party poppers are not that expensive and are available for everyone. I am also available to the students most of the times I can be available so that I can help them with problems they do not understand or just to have a chat about how they are doing with their other classes or with their lives. Just as children like party poppers for their parties, children also love me because I am a nice and good teacher that does what it can for the learning of her students. I am smooth, (soft) with students, but when I get mad I can explode, I try that the students see that they did something wrong but I do not say anything to them , I do not harm any student and I am not dangerous as the party popper is. Kids like party poppers to play in parties, I am not going to be use to play but I play with students and I make them have a good time. Party poppers are in the list of things to buy for a party because the birthday kid wants them; I am in the list of teachers that a kid remembers because of how I am with kids and how I teach them. Also they can be kept as remainders of good times a child had at a party, I am kept as a reminder in the memories of my students because of the good times they had at my class. Since confetti is very colorful, and colors make people happy, I also have colorful things in my classroom and I use colors so that they feel happy or understand the different things that I am teaching. Without teachers in a classroom, there is not a class and without party poppers there is not a good and fun party. Just as party poppers last for a long time (without being open), as a teacher, I will last long enough until I will have accomplished my goals and until I feel like I have made a difference in my students’ lives. I tell my students that the class is like a new party every day and that they have to come with lots of energy and willingness to learn. They will see that the party can be boring or fun, it just depends on the students. Last but not least, I am also like a party popper because they are little and cute.
<img width='1' height='1' we will not be where we are right now. For a lot of people education can mean a lot of different things, or people think of education in very different ways. But I believe that the purpose of education is to help people succeed in life by gathering information from different ways of teaching or schooling. Not only education is found in schools but the first teachers that we have in our lives is our parents. With the help of them and the help of the teachers is how we most of the times get educated.

Both our parents and our professors help us in educating ourselves. I think that the role of a teacher is to help educate students. Parents might show a lot of things to the students and they also give students the basic values that shape the students, but it is the teacher that polishes us and helps us with more complicated things. Also the teachers are there to help students learn new things. I think that the teacher should just help the students learn, be like the connection between the gap from the student to the knowledge, teachers are there to support the students’ learning and to guide them in the right direction. It is not only important for people to learn about subjects like science, math or language arts. People should also learn how to communicate and interact with others, share ideas, and most important know how to behave around other people, because it does not matter if a person is very smart and know a lot of things, in my opinion what it matters is that the person is smart and knows how to interact with others for a better understanding. It is the parents that teach us a how to act, but the teacher is the one is that direct us and tell us what to do with what our parents have taught us.

People more than likely are used to learn from their mistakes. I have learned a lot from my own mistakes and as far as I know all of us learn from them too. Also there is some that learn from other’s own experiences or mistakes, and there are the ones that learn from watching others interact. The students do not only learn from teachers or parents, they also learn from what the members of a society are doing. Since we are little we try to imitate our parents and as we grow we decide whether or not follow what they have taught us or make our own decisions.

In general the students learn from others as well as from their own mistakes, education is what they keep on achieving as they grow older and with people like teachers to help them make their own decisions, students are here to make a difference in the world.

<img experience, inquiry, time self-correction and external criticism.

In my own words I say that this means that I can prove that the ways of learning listed (inquiry, time, self-correction and external criticism) make sense to me. success for this goal will be that as a teacher I will be able to catch the attention of the students, keep them involved in class, know how to plan, learn from students and analyze results.
I rank myself as a person that can take external criticism from people, and it is a little confusing about how inquiry and constructivism will work. but I found some ways in which I think that I can strength myself is about planning more how to do things, but more important I will try to make it go with what the class will be about, go and get help from others, watch how a professor might teach a class. as a result of what I learned I will plan a class and teach it, then get opinions of what the students liked and disliked.

As I was reading the Inquiry article in the internet, I found a lot of good ways in which a teacher can teach. Inquiry is defined as seeking for knowledge and or information. It is also another way of teaching, more than likely there are many teachers that do this style, if I become a teacher I think that I will be doing it too. Also as I kept on reading the article, there were also a lot of examples for inquiry teaching. This method could help a lot of teachers so that their students can keep on their memories what they learned at school.
As I remember beck to when I was a kid, I had this teacher that was a very good person. She had applied the concepts of inquiry and we as students learned a lot from her. I remember an exciting experience that happened while I was her student. She gave to all of us ten bags and then she took us to the river that was close to the school, there she told us to grab some rocks and from there on our class began. I thought that we were going to learn some science stuff since we were at the river picking up rocks. But the topic of the class was that we were going to learn how to divide, which it was very fun. We learned how to divide by putting rocks into the bags. For example she would tell us to divide forty rocks into ten bags and the result was four. I remember her and how she taught us how to divide every time I divide something.
Inquiry is also very important to the students. Not only will they have fun, but they will be more enhanced into learning. The students will accept an invitation to learning, explore and ask questions to the teachers, instead of just sitting there and listening. One of the things that kept my attention while I was reading was this quote “tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I understand.” In particular I think that this is a quote that is very truthful. Many students do not like to just go to class and sit there, they want to participate in the class and they want to feel important, they want to be recognized and they want to have this feeling of “I did it.” By telling students what to do, they will not remember much from the class. By showing them, some might understand how to do as problem, and by involving them the students will more than likely remember and understand the concepts from which the class was about.
Not only students benefit from inquiry teaching but also the teacher will. One of the ways that teachers will benefit is that it will make it easier for them to know whether or not the students understand what he is talking about. When the students are encouraged to ask questions they will not hesitate to ask if they do not understand, so in that way the teacher will know which students understand and which are not. Teachers will also become learners by finding more about the students, and by knowing what kind of learning the students have.
In some of my past experiences, I found out that inquiry teaching is very fun and exciting; students learn and at the same time have a good time. Students might not forget the experience they had and by that they might not forget what they learned. That happens to me every time I have to divide something, I remember that one day my teacher took us to the river and showed us how to divide. In my opinion this is a very good way to teach and have fun at the same time. Also teachers should always make sure that every student is okay with the way he is teaching because there are many students that do not learn in the same way as other students do.
